Reporting to the Head of Data Science, this role is integral to bridging the gap between technical insights and real-world applications. The ideal candidate excels in problem-solving, has a knack for translating data into actionable insights, and can effectively communicate findings to diverse stakeholders.

• Staying updated on research and industry trends to develop innovative methods and algorithms for analysing FTIR spectral data.
• Designing experiments and analytical pipelines to deduce findings related to biopharma insights
• Staying current with scientific literature, emerging trends, and technological advancements in FTIR analysis and related data science methodologies.
• carrying out Algorithm Development & Optimization
• Building, evaluating, and refining algorithms that process and interpret FTIR data for various biopharma applications.
• Experimenting with machine learning and statistical techniques to improve accuracy and robustness of predictions.
• involved in Collaboration & Communication
• Working closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality Assurance, Engineering) to understand research objectives and data requirements.
• Collaborating with domain experts to refine research questions and align algorithm development with industry needs.

• Partnering with engineering teams to integrate developed algorithms into user-friendly applications and analysis pipelines.
• Ensuring smooth transition of algorithms from research to production, maintaining high standards of code quality and documentation.
• demonstrate Continuous Learning & Innovation
• Engaging in ongoing learning opportunities, attend workshops, and participate in relevant conferences to expand expertise.
• Educational Background:
• You have an advanced degree (master’s or Ph.D.) in Data Science, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
• You are proficient in programming languages such as Python or R.
• You have experience with machine learning libraries/frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn).
• You have a strong foundation in statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modelling.
• You are familiar with spectroscopy data analysis and chemometrics, and FTIR (nice-to-have).
• Research Expertise:
• You have experience in developing algorithms for analysing complex datasets, ideally within the biopharma or biochemical sectors.
• You have knowledge of pattern recognition, concentration analysis, and substance identification from spectral data is a plus.
• You are able to design and implement experiments, analyse results, and iterate on methodologies.
