  • Coordinating the architecture and development process of an Linux based automotive telematic control unit (TCU) with focus on system functions and applications
  • System functions are SW flash, SW update, diagnostics, life cycle management, sleep mode and wakeup services, remote configuration, and vehicle internal communication
  • Responsibility for the system development over the whole product life cycle
  • Alignment of the requirements, architecture and implementation concepts with all stakeholders with the car manufacturer as well as the tier 1 supplier developing the TCU
  • Participation in architecture and development project meetings and clarification of architectural design and implementation details
  • Support of test and validation processes, SW delivery management, stability and performance topics
  • Continuous project reporting

  • A degree in electrical engineering, preferably communications engineering, or a comparable educational background, that has been successfully completed
  • Experience in the development of embedded systems (HW Abstraction, Watchdogs, Bootloader…)
  • Linux know-how (User/group management, systemd, performance/stability optimizations, IPC…)
  • Independent, proactive and systematic approach to working
  • Experience in the design of SW architectures in UML is an advantage
  • Very good team and communication skills
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken
