For our office in Berlin Mitte we are looking for a

BI Developer / Engineer (m/f/d)

  • Interpreting Business Requirements: you will show a strong initiative and analytical capability to understand business requirements and information needs, assess feasibility and estimate development efforts
  • Designing Data Warehouse Solutions: you design efficient and stable data warehouse solutions in strong cooperation with business users, stakeholders and the BI team
  • SQL Development: you will create and amend database objects and update and optimise complex stored procedures with a focus on performance
  • Developing Reports: you develop solutions using SQL Server Integration Services, Reporting Services, Analysis Services and Power BI to establish regulatory reporting, standardized reports and company-wide Key Performance Indicators and dashboards
  • Data Warehouse Management: you will monitor and maintain daily ETL processes and data loading on an ad hoc basis and follow our testing and release process as part of an agile team
  • Knowledge Sharing: you will support other colleagues in their tasks, write documentation and contribute proactively in agile sessions.

  • Educated to degree level in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Several years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (SSMS, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)
  • Excellent SQL coding skills
  • Proven experience with ETL processes, strong experience of query optimisation
  • Extensive experience in writing stored procedures
  • Knowledge of data modelling and data warehouse architecture principles
  • Knowledge of Power BI
  • Experience with Azure Databricks and Data Factory is desirable
  • Proven presentation and facilitation skills
  • Strong oral and written communications skills in English
