About LSE Space: We are an independent provider of space services, covering the entire life cycle of space systems, as the main subsidiary of SSC’s Engineering Services. Employing over 190 engineers, we provide services to the international space market, including support for all phases of a space mission or full service, operations, independent consulting and training. We are seeking dynamic and experienced individuals to contribute to identifying, pursuing, and winning new business opportunities within the European and global space sectors.
Develop and implement business strategiesConduct market research on trends, competition, and partnership opportunities.Proactively identify and qualify new opportunities in satellite operations, ground segment engineering, and software services.Serve as lead author or contributor for technical and commercial proposals,Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and deliverablesLead and coordinate bid and proposal effort with technical teams.Maintain and expand relationships with existing key clientsDrive new partnerships, particularly in NewSpace.Represent SSC group at industry events, conferences.Work closely with senior management to align business development initiatives with the company’s strategic direction and financial objectives.Track market and technology developments (e.g., cloud-based solutions, automation, advanced analytics).Contribute to the company’s reputation as a thought leader
- A degree in Engineering (preferably Aerospace Engineering or a related technical discipline)
- Fluent in English (spoken/written); German or other European languages advantageous.
- Experience in a business development or similar commercial role within the space sector. Demonstrable experience in securing contracts with institutional and commercial clients.
- Solid understanding of spacecraft operations, ground infrastructure, mission planning, and related engineering and software services and with ground segment software solutions.
- Proven record in securing contracts from institutional or commercial/NewSpace clients.
- Skilled negotiator and established network of contacts within the European/global space industry.
- Familiarity with SaaS, OaaS, and other emerging NewSpace trends
- Customer-focused, with strong presentation abilities.
- Willingness to travel frequently
