Job summary

Iron Mountain’s Global Records and Information Management Organization (GRO) is a revenue-driving commercial organization that focuses on developing, selling, and supporting solutions for customers in our regions and key global vertical industries that enable them to transform their business.

To help us achieve our growth objectives, we are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Sales team in the DACH region. This represents a huge opportunity for the person who joins us to grow our market share.

Iron Mountain helps lower cost and risk, comply with regulations, recover from disaster, and enable digital and sustainable solutions, whether in information management, digital transformation, secure storage and destruction, data center operations, cloud services, or art storage and logistics.

  • Generate Records Management, Secure Destruction and Document Management Services revenue
  • Commercial management of tenders, retenders, price negotiations across nominated accounts
  • Position and sale of solutions to address named Corporate Customers Information Management needs
  • Accountable for new business revenue growth in the defined range of new and existing customers
  • Ensure assigned monthly, quarterly and annual targets are reached
  • Drive the strategy for growth across nominated list of target customers and prospects
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and plans; contribute to business strategy, development and implementation

To be successful in this position you will be a true hunter who has significant direct sales experience selling to large Corporates and a track record of winning new accounts. Ideally you will have existing senior relationships in the DACH market that can be built on and extended.

German and English language to a professional level will be a necessity. Candidates from Germany, Austrioa or Switzerland would be considered for the role.

  • Strong background and proven experience of new business hunting
  • Ability to quickly learn new products and sales processes
  • Fluent language skills in German and English
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, planning, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Ability to make decisions and think in broad terms, considering the impact to the entire company.
