Our Carbon Compliance Team in Düsseldorf is looking for you!
- As part of the Carbon Compliance Management team, become owner and focal point in Energy Assets and wider Uniper for the implementation of the upcoming European Emission Trading Scheme (EU-ETS II) reporting obligations
- Build a robust EU-ETS II management system to ensure a compliant annual reporting cycle and define a process description for all EU-ETS II concerned Uniper markets
- Ensure effective stakeholder management of all involved functions and external bodies relating to the successful collection, quality assurance and verification of EU-ETS II data
- Build an integrated data management system
- Where required, exchange and build reporting links to other ETS management systems (EU-ETS1, nEHS)
- Continuously pulse-check the regulatory environment around EU-ETS II, incl. new guidelines from the German Emission Authority
- Train CO2 coordinators in the assets on the new EU-ETS II requirements
- Develop and roll-out modular service offerings for EU-ETS II reporting for internal and external customers, in close alignment with Uniper Sales key account managers
- Be open to explore upcoming additional reporting obligations related to ETS (e.g. CBAM, Hydrogen @ ETS) and coordinate Uniper readiness to meet these obligations in a compliant manner
- Over time, gain capabilities to support other team members as a back-up and to ensure 4-eyes-principles
- Academic background in engineering, data management, business administration or quality assurance
- Experience of applying management systems in a position of responsibility, within a legal or commercial setting is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail
- Task prioritization capabilities to meet tight reporting deadlines
- Strong skills in data analysis and digitalisation are advantageous
- Entrepreneurial spirit to drive service offerings forward
- Good communication skills
- Fluent in German and business English is required, other languages are an advantage
