Data is a core advantage of OTT/Unicast TV over traditional broadcast. As platform operators, we know exactly what content our users watch, how popular a show is, and how many seconds of each and every ad campaign is viewed. With roughly 3 million active users every month the data we collect from them allows for efficient and precise business processes and data-based decision making.

We want to build day-to-day business decisions more on hard facts and less on gut feeling. Therefore we are searching for a passionate Data Analyst to join our motivated and growing data team. You will be shaping the big data architecture at Zattoo and building data components that change the way data is leveraged at Zattoo!

THE DATA AND ANALYTICS TEAM

We are a diverse set of people ranging from Data Engineers (DEs) to Data Analysts and Machine Learning Engineers. We love bringing more value out of our data for the organization and truly drive data based decision making in all divisions. We are a bit nerdy and understand the heart of our business operations and our stakeholders to do our job well.

Zattoo operates in both the DtC and B2B space and combined with a TV streaming product, it is a dream company for a data professional to get maximum value out of data and learn new things everyday! We are building a scalable architecture with the newest tools, technologies and methodologies to leverage our big data (we process 6TB daily!)

THE ROLE

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Collaborate with our Product Owners (POs) to understand their needs to generate insights from data
  • Identify and improve KPIs that are most relevant for driving product decisions and understanding what users do in our applications
  • Design dashboards that are tuned for decision making and insights. You will also be responsible for the design of external facing dashboards and analytics for our B2B clients
  • Conduct trainings for POs to understand our data and dashboards
  • Own and improve our product data models and documentation
  • Design A/B tests and interpret the results for product decisions
  • Collaborate closely with our Data Engineers (DEs) and other teams to ensure data quality and consistency

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business or Statistics
  • 4+ years of experience as a Data/Product Analyst in a digital or tech company, analyzing large amounts of data
  • Obsession to understand end users and what they do in our products with data
  • Data Visualization : strong proficiency in designing intuitive, impactful and insightful data visualizations that effectively communicate key product metrics and user behavior patterns is essential
  • Experience with visualization and product analytics tools (we use Tableau, Apache Superset and mParticle (former Indicative)) and the ability to create custom visualizations when standard charts don’t suffice
  • Statistics : background in designing and analyzing A/B tests for product features and user experience improvements
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Data Storytelling and Communication : strong communication and collaboration skills with data stakeholders and DEs
  • Ability to craft compelling narratives from complex data insights
  • Skill in presenting analytical findings into actionable recommendations for product and business strategies, from technical teams to C-level executives
  • Data Literacy: as a key member of the data team, you will also serve as a data literacy champion within the organization and:
  • Collaborate with the data team and POs to foster a data-driven culture
  • Advocate for data-informed decision making at all levels of the organization
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in data analytics and share knowledge with the wider team
  • Data Quality and Governance : ensure data quality, good data governance practices, and maintaining data dictionaries
  • Continuous Learning: demonstrate a passion for staying updated with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in data analytics and the streaming industry

Bonus :

  • Familiarity with A/B testing platforms like Optimizely or Google Optimize
  • Python skills
