THE ROLE
remberg’s mission is to help organizations manage their things such as machines, equipment, devices, vehicles or buildings in the cloud and digitize associated processes in service, sales and marketing. Thereby we get rid of paper and Excel while laying the groundwork for the age of IoT. We are building the remberg XRM – a new category in SaaS that reinvents the logic of CRM by placing things at the core, not customers. We raised our EUR 11 Million Series A Round from renowned investors and business angels from five different Unicorns (including Personio, Celonis, UiPath, Forto, Aiven) and are now looking for an ambitious and talented Data Engineering Intern / Working Student (F/M/D) .

ABOUT US
remberg is a fast-growing start-up from Munich, building the XRM software, a new kind of solution for companies to digitize processes around ‘things’, such as equipment, machines, plants, and vehicles – the groundwork for the age of the Internet of Things (IoT).
As a Data Engineering Intern / Working Student (F/M/D) , you will support our technology platform team with developing and maintaining our data infrastructure. As our first data engineering hire, you will have an opportunity for unprecedented impact and a steep learning-by-doing curve while shaping from the very beginning our data infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to work on data warehousing, data pipelines, and data processing, while applying your skills to our real-world projects.
- You work on data modeling and data transformation tasks for our in-app analytics product feature and our own BI efforts
- You collaborate with our technology platform squad to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and data warehousing infrastructure
- Together with with our product management team you build dashboards for our customers
- You define and align on interfaces and processes across the organization to make sure that we are working in a scalable environment with high data quality and reliability
- You possess strong SQL skills and first experience in modeling star schemas
- You bring some understanding of noSQL database systems (MongoDB)
- You have experience with BI/Visualization tools like Quicksight, Looker, PowerBI or similar as well as confidence in using Python
- Ideally, you are familiar working with dbt (core) and cloud computing services (AWS)
- You have excellent self-learning and independent working ability as well as superb analytical skills, while having an impeccable eye for detail
- You can work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- You are good communicator and team player, also when interacting with colleagues from a non-technical background

- You are fluent in English (written and spoken, C1 level); German is a plus
- You are currently enrolled in a master’s degree program in data science, computer science, engineering, or a related field
