Your Career
Palo Alto Networks is looking for a Deals Desk Manager to work on the EMEA Deals Desk team, doing non standard pricing and terms approvals . This position will report to the Manager of EMEA Deals Desk and is a great opportunity for a talented individual who has the desire to associate with a fast-growing company in a truly international environment.
Your Impact
- Review and approve non-standard pricing requests and terms
- Review will include financial analysis for gross margin, VSOE compliance, non standard terms requests
- Become an expert on our quoting tool, review and enforce finance and revenue recognition compliance policies
- Responsible for liaising with all organizations involved in the approval process (finance, legal, order management, etc.) on behalf of sales. Function as a trusted advisor to field sales on deals
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders for decision support on deal solutions
- Collaborate with impacted parties to generate acceptable documents to facilitate deal closure
- Ensure required approvals, such as discounts and contractual terms, are obtained and clearly documented
- Be a sales advocate and partner to internal organizations to understand contract requirements, structure, business terms and identification of potential risks and/or opportunities that can affect performance, growth and strategic positioning
- Responsible for adherence to and compliance with policy and procedures
- Review Order Forms for accuracy and compliance with internal policies
- Evaluate current processes and offer recommendations for areas of improvement
- Ensure that all transactions adhere to internal revenue recognition policies and operational guidelines
- Complete ad-hoc projects as required
The Team
Our sales operation & strategy team members support our sales account managers and systems engineers to assist in large organization’s migrations to more cybersecurity. Sales operations work behind the scenes to make sure that our sales relationships run smoothly, enabling and empowering the teams across the world.
You support the sales team by providing research, reports, and craft and support systems and processes that enable the process of sales. It’s a true partnership, one built on building the best cybersecurity solutions for each individual client.
This position calls for someone who possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills, learns fast and feels confident in a dynamic environment, where decisions are made under the pressure of tight deadlines and inline with various rules of engagement. This person is a self-starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity and is action and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related desirable or equivalent military experience required
- Experience in commercial management, sales operations, finance, accounting or related experience within the software / tech industry
- Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to make quick decisions under the pressure of tight deadlines, while remaining diligent and keeping a sound audit record
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast moving and demanding environment
- Ability to collaborate with high-performing internal and outsourced teams
- Efficient team player
- Intermediate/advanced Salesforce.com and G-Suite skills are highly recommended
- Business level German speaker (mandatory)
