At paretos, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, spearheading our DevOps and Security initiatives . Your role will be pivotal in maintaining and optimizing our AWS-based Kubernetes infrastructure to ensure high availability and peak performance of our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product. Additionally, you will develop and implement a robust security strategy focused on achieving ISO27001 certification. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in DevOps, cybersecurity, and compliance standards.
Infrastructure Maintenance and Management:
- Manage and maintain our AWS-based Kubernetes clusters.
- Oversee the deployment, configuration, and monitoring of services such as Keycloak, Dagster, Temporal, Snowflake, Airbyte, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and NGINX Ingress Controller.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience of infrastructure.
- Automate infrastructure tasks using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
Security and Compliance:
- Develop and implement a security strategy aligned with ISO27001 standards.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.
- Implement and manage security controls to protect data and infrastructure.
- Lead the preparation and documentation for ISO27001 certification audits.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and best practices.
Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with development teams to integrate security best practices into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Provide guidance and training on security policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and manage security-related aspects of third-party integrations.
Monitoring and Incident Response:
- Implement and manage monitoring tools to ensure system health and performance.
- Respond to and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and outages.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and conduct regular drills.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in DevOps and infrastructure management, specifically with AWS and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of ISO27001 standards and certification processes.
- Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in German is desirable
Nice to have:
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), ISO27001 Lead Implementer, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Experience with other compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC 2.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
