Join Makersite, a leading platform for product lifecycle management (PLM), and become an Engineering Manager in Berlin (hybrid). You will manage a team of 5-8 engineers, fostering their professional growth and driving project delivery.
- Manage a team of 5 to 8 engineers, some of which will be new
- Enable professional and personal growth for the team through professionalism, coaching and developing technical expertise
- Provide support to the VP Of Engineering in hiring the best talent through seamless technical interviews and thorough onboarding processes
- Mentor, pair, and delegate work to foster the professional and technical growth of your engineering team
- Drive delivery through excellent coordination and a well planned strategy throughout your cross-functional team
- Introduction of best coding practices and improve our code base on the backend
This permanent position requires over 3 years of management experience leading backend engineers, expert Python skills, and legal authorization to work in Germany.
Requirements
- You will have over 3yrs experience as a manager
- Led a team of primarily backend-focused engineers, an added advantage if you have also led a full-stack or frontend engineer(s)
- Expert Python skills
- Residing in and legally permitted to work in Germany
Preferred Qualifications
- Ideally has an interest in solving real-world problems and being part of a market-leading green-tech product
- Should have had exposure to a startup or scaleup environment where process enablement and methodologies are vital to success
