Shopify’s Global Accounts team has supported this mission by educating the largest, highest volume, and most complex merchants on what is possible with our platform. Their passion is creating a merchant obsessed evaluation and buying experience that is the envy of the industry.
As an Enterprise Account Executive, you will work under the guidance of the Global Accounts Manager to support the growth and success of Global Account customers. Your focus will be on building strong relationships with key stakeholders and providing solutions to help them achieve their business goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with enterprise accounts, serving as a key point of contact for all their needs. Understanding their unique business objectives, challenges, and opportunities to provide tailored solutions and drive customer success.
- Assist in complex commercial negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with Shopify’s business objectives. Collaborate with Legal and Finance teams to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Contribute to the development and execution of strategic account plans to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets. Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts, leveraging Shopify’s full suite of products and services.
- Develop a deep understanding of the company’s products, target customers, and value proposition, and effectively communicate them to prospects.
- Develop strong internal and external relationships by mastering communication and adopting a consultative and solutions-oriented approach.
- Act as a customer advocate within Shopify, ensuring that customer feedback is effectively communicated to relevant internal teams.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Support, to drive customer success and deliver exceptional value.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the full sales cycle, preferably within a technology/software environment, dealing with high complexity.
- Proficiency in English is required; as well as a native or bilingual level of proficiency in French or Spanish is highly desirable
- Proven track record of managing large, multinational accounts and consistently achieving targets and exceeding expectations.
- Extensive experience in strategic outbound prospecting, territory cultivation, and building a strong multi-product pipeline.
- Proficiency in executive presence, business acumen, prospecting, and problem-solving for customers.
- Ability to creatively and innovatively contract and close multi-product deals with large prospect accounts.
- Demonstrated success in acquiring net new customers and managing executive relationships.
- Strong work ethic with a drive to meet or exceed individual and team goals.
- Comfortable diving deep into technical product knowledge and becoming a Shopify product expert.
- Passionate about engaging with people, curious to understand their unique business needs, and capable of showing them how to transform their business.
- Possesses a consultative and solutions-oriented mindset, challenging assumptions and confidently providing recommendations through engaging storytelling.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
