As Cost Engineer Market Intelligence & Sourcing Analytics (f/m/d) you will take an expert role within the division Supply Chain Excellence providing strategic and operational support to our International Category Manager and Management team. In this role, you are leveraging the power of cost intelligence & analytics to create valuable insights embedded into our Sourcing and decision-making processes. You will drive cost structure analysis in e.g. B2C products or to Energy Networks HV/MV/LV assets, calculating should cost, total cost of ownership (TCO) and analyzing incoming supplier offers on several levels. Further you are driving transparency analysis to gain insights on demand and sourcing. Continuous learning and an open mindset to work with diverse stakeholder belong to your daily job.

What you are responsible for

  • Continuous development of our Supply Chain cost intelligence methods & tools to materials and services
  • Ensure growth of valuable data sources and external partner by active market research and external partner collaboration in cost engineering projects
  • Increase transparency in Demand, Sourcing and Tendering processes to secure forecasting & volume bundling
  • Further scale the application and usage of smart cost analytics and cost engineering on materials and services
  • Ensure a close and effective interaction with our Category teams and Management to deliver valuable data products and to secure the integration of cost analytics & data insights in decision making processes
  • Deployment of best practices incl. IT tools to support the performance steering and transparency across Categories
  • Build and strengthen business stakeholder relations, serve as the primary point of contact for data collaboration

What we are looking for

  • University degree in Business Administration / Engineering, Technology or equivalent professional qualification (M.Sc., Diploma) (technical background helpful but not necessarily needed)
  • Comprehensive understanding about Supply Chain management and related processes e.g. Demand Forecasting, Source-to-Contract
  • First experiences in leading cost engineering initiatives with technical product manager and Category manager
  • Experienced understanding about data management, data validation and the consolidation of key facts & figures
  • Experience in the management of analytical projects and methods of data analysis and/or cost planning
  • Proven track record of managing complex stakeholder relationships at the same and higher hierarchical level
  • Strategic thinker with strong acumen to smart analytics as well as the experience of developing and implementing effective solutions/concepts for out of the box inquiries of data assessment
  • Ideally you have professional experience in the application of data analytics solutions e.g. MS Power BI, Tableau etc.
  • Fluent in English and German
