Global Category Manager vacancy requiring profound Marketing and Communication knowledge for a globally operating Zurich based company in the luxury goods sector.

Your experience/skills:

  • Expertise in procurement processes like purchase of guidelines, legal documentation, risk management, claim management and market analysis
  • Essential background in international procurement, product and market analysis for a defined category
  • Solid knowledge of RFX, supplier management and top target price management
  • Professionalism of the analytical and strategic procurement systems such as SAP Business Warehouse, SAP, Ariba or Livelink
  • University degree in business administration or equivalent area
  • Languages: fluent English both written and spoken

Your tasks:

  • Improving the category strategic plan and underlying policies according to the Corporate Procurement functional vision
  • Developing and updating the suppliers’ strategy plan considering the category strategic plan
  • Ensuring efficiency through identification of sourcing risks and their report to Procurement Excellence and business stakeholders
  • Establishing and managing relationships with significant strategic suppliers in order to cover the defined demand categories across relevant business and legal entities
  • Building and improving global market and product knowledge within the targeted category
