For our division Accounting, at our location in Cologne we are looking for a

Group Accountant (m/w/d)

  • You prepare the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and notes according to IFRS, analyze the individual financial statements of our subsidiaries, and support local accounting teams with specific consolidation issues.
  • You actively participate in the group audit process, supporting management in decision-making and assisting external auditors during the audit process.
  • With your expertise, you ensure the quality of financial reporting and compliance with the Group Accounting Policy according to IFRS standards, and you contribute to the creation and continuous updating of the Group IFRS Accounting Policy while conducting group-wide training sessions.
  • You monitor, coordinate, and implement consolidation tasks such as capital and debt consolidation, expense and income consolidation, and intercompany profit elimination.
  • As a point of contact, you resolve IFRS-related questions and communicate with subsidiaries regarding various accounting topics.
  • You proactively support the continuous optimization of tools and processes in group accounting and further develop the Group Accounting Policy and the Chart of Accounts in accordance with IFRS.
  • You create booking templates for investment and equity changes and ensure they are accurately reflected in our consolidation software LucaNet.

  • You have successfully completed a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance/Accounting or have a commercial apprenticeship.
  • You have 2-3 years of professional experience in auditing or group accounting in a comparable position, ideally in an international environment.
  • You possess very good knowledge of accounting and group accounting according to IFRS (experience with LucaNet is nice-to-have).
  • You have a hands-on mentality, strong communication skills, a confident and reliable demeanor, and a team-oriented working style.
  • You are fluent in both written and spoken English, German is nice-to-have.
