Job Description

Your Role:
As the Head of Indirect Procurement, you’ll be instrumental in shaping our procurement strategies across critical categories such as IT, marketing, customer care, travel, and more. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead a team across Munich and Vienna, driving savings, operational excellence, and innovative procurement practices for a spend portfolio across over EUR 200 million (potential to grow).

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and develop a team of 5 procurement professionals, expanding as needed.
  • Build and implement strategic sourcing capabilities that align with business objectives.
  • Drive cost savings initiatives with a target of 8-15% annually on 30% of our spend.
  • Create efficient contracting and renewal workflows, ensuring transparency and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with the FP&A team to optimize spend controls and reporting.
  • Foster strong relationships across departments and executive stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor.
  • Leverage technology, including AI, to automate processes and focus on strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in indirect procurement, focusing on IT and related domains – completed with a relevant university degree.
  • Proven leadership experience, including at least 4 years of managing teams.
  • Strong strategic, tactical, and operational abilities, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, legal acumen in B2B contexts, and a keen eye for detail.
  • Fluent in English (German a plus), with excellent communication skills.
  • A data-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can build scalable processes.
