Your Tasks
For us and our customers, email is an integral part of daily routines and workflows. Whether on a smartphone, tablet, or PC, emails are ever-present. With our email clients, we aim to help our customers manage the daily flood of information. If you’re curious about what the usage patterns of more than 43 million customers mean for systems and components in our mail backend, then you’re in the right place. We build and operate everything needed to receive and appropriately sort over 25,000 emails per second for our customers.
- You enjoy taking on leadership responsibilities and thrive in a technically challenging environment.
- You like working in cross-functional teams and are skilled in handling various stakeholders and their requirements. You purposefully build networks, maintain them, and know how to establish valuable partnerships in the email industry, even beyond company boundaries.
- Your technical expertise in email protocols and security (SMTP, DKIM, SPF, DMARC), as well as your knowledge of network protocols and security standards (SSL/TLS, DANE, MTA-STS), is solid and comprehensive.
- You bring at least 5 years of professional experience from an email service provider, mailbox provider, or a similar security-focused company.
- You have hands-on experience in developing and scaling distributed systems and are well-versed in robust, resilient software architecture.
Your Profile
- You will take on both technical and disciplinary leadership of a software development team responsible for email reception and delivery.
- You will introduce new ideas for the development of your team and the associated cross-functional teams, actively shaping their future.
- You will manage and coordinate requirements with various departments across the company.
- You will stay informed about developments in the email industry by attending regular conferences and will identify technical innovations early or proactively help shape them.
