Tasks

Key Responsibilities:

Accountability for Operations & Financials

  • Oversee last-mile delivery operations, ensuring the goals and KPIs are exceeded
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve efficiency and standardize processes across teams.
  • Negotiate with sub-contractors to secure favorable rates, and terms while maintaining quality standards.
  • Represent DODO in operational topic negotiations with clients
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics partners (3PL) and clients
  • Exceed budgeted efficiency, utilization and productivity across the business
  • Exceed budgeted gross profit, optimizing all direct costs
  • Continuously look for improvements, challenging the status quo

Performance Optimization

  • Analyze data, track service quality, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall productivity.
  • Ensure optimized resources (vehicles, couriers, fuel, other dircet costs) are used to deliver the service to customers in an excellent quality
  • Ensuring the planner settings are optimized for the operations for particular zone/client
  • Ensure compliance with established service and operational standards.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and support a high-performing team spread across Germany by delegating tasks based on priorities and setting clear goals.
  • Provide regular performance feedback, conduct evaluations, and ensure accountability.
  • Motivate and inspire team members to achieve their best while fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Identify and support opportunities for employee development and growth.
  • Handle conflict resolution effectively and communicate decisions regarding team compensation in alignment with company guidelines.
  • Represent the operations team internally and externally, ensuring effective cross-department communication and collaboration.
  • Act as a role model, demonstrating company values and fostering a positive culture within the organization.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience (7+ years) in managing large-scale (millions of orders +) and fast-growing operations, preferably in last-mile delivery or other areas of logistics.
  • A track record of achieving business and operational goals in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Analytical mindset and a problem-solving approach to operational challenges.
  • Structured and organized way of work
  • Critical and strategical thinking
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive and results-driven attitude with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in English and German at a professional level
  • Food/grocery delivery experience is a big plus.
