Description

Help build the team behind scalable quantum computing – made in Germany

We’re eleQtron , a DeepTech company developing the next generation of quantum computers using trapped ions and innovative microwave technology . Our goal is to build scalable, ready-to-use quantum computing solutions right here in Germany – and turn world-class research into real-world impact.

Our team of 80 + people spans Hamburg, Siegen and a few remote locations – and as we continue to grow, we’re looking for someone to take the lead on how we build, support, and scale our organisation.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll report to our VP of Operations , lead a small People team, and take full ownership of our People practices – from recruitment and onboarding to development, feedback, and change. You’ll help ensure that our teams can do their best work in a highly technical, collaborative, and fast-moving environment.

  • Leading and developing the People team (currently three people), ensuring focus, clarity and growth
  • Driving core HR processes across the employee lifecycle – recruitment, onboarding, feedback, performance, development, compensation, and exit
  • Acting as a partner to the VP of Operations, C-Level and key business leads on team structure, hiring plans, leadership development and change
  • Building scalable policies, tools and routines that help us grow without adding unnecessary complexity
  • Supporting a strong sense of connection across sites, including structured onboarding, team lead enablement, and cross-location visits
  • Ensuring we stay compliant and legally sound while maintaining a clear, people-first approach.
  • People know what to expect – because our processes are clear and consistent
  • Managers are better equipped to lead – because we’ve given them the tools and support to do it well
  • The People team runs smoothly – because priorities are set, roles are clear, and progress is tracked
  • Growth feels structured, not chaotic – because the right conversations are happening early and often
  • You’re a trusted thought partner to the Leadership Team and a steady, constructive presence across the business.

What success looks like

What you bring

  • Experience leading a People or HR team in a growing company (ideally 70-200 people), preferably in a technical or research-heavy environment
  • A generalist background across recruitment, employee relations, feedback, performance, compensation, and compliance
  • Experience working closely with leadership and helping organisations navigate change
  • A mindset that balances structure and flexibility – you bring just enough process to make things work without getting in the way
  • Fluency in German and English. You’ll need both every day.

  • Full time
  • Hamburg or Siegen
  • A key role in one of Germany’s most promising DeepTech companies – with the chance to shape how it grows from the inside
  • The trust and backing of the founders and exec team
  • Colleagues who care deeply about their work and are willing to be challenged
  • Flexible work in Hamburg or Siegen (with occasional travel between sites)
  • A direct path to impact – no endless layers or internal politics.
