This position reports directly to our Head of Group Corporate Relations. May be located in Munich – Germany, Södertälje – Sweden, Lisle – US, or Sao Paulo – Brazil, the position is mainly responsible for the following tasks:
/ Develop a global policy outlook/analysis by aligning with cross-functions (Strategy, Sustainability, Product Management, Communications) and brands to facilitate complex geo-political environments and support sustainable growth for our products across all markets
/ Systemize policy and regulatory developments on global and regional level based on TRATON product roadmaps for a global sustainable transport transformation
/ Support brands with strategic global intelligence and analysis of generic legislation/policy on global/regional level common for the entire TRATON GROUP
/ Positioning of TRATON GROUP in global socio-political environment by identifying global strategic opportunities, geo-political risks, and creating a global decision makers network
/ Create and shape TRATON’s expert insights in a global decision maker network and guide decision-making by organizing the participation on global political/industry events/panels, publishing common position papers/articles, and preparing keynote speeches for executive board members
/ Navigate the global/regional collaboration between Public Affairs teams across TRATON GROUP to ensure and increase synergies and efficiency as well as a consistent messaging and coherent policy advocacy
/ Interface between TRATON Corporate Relations, Sustainability and Communications and Public Affairs, to political communications of the brands and Volkswagen Group (member of VW’s group steering committee Public Affairs)
/ You have a degree in Economics, Political Science, Engineering, Law, or comparable qualification
/ You have proven experience of minimum 5 years in companies, politics, ministries, NGOs, or associations with equivalent minimum 5 years in leadership and management positions
/ Your deep knowledge from the commercial vehicle/automotive industry, and/or any of our brands is a strong merit to your expertise
/ You show very high affinity to general political, economical, and technical issues
/ Your resilient network built up over time with top decision-makers in politics, public authorities, associations, NGOs, and you gained experience with global policy analysis
/ You communicate and manage stakeholders easily and convey complex information effectively to various stakeholders
/ Your advanced strategic and analytical thinking skills, very high abstraction ability, and very high diplomatic skills in dealing with political decision-makers complement your profile
/ You show proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, make informed decisions aligned with strategic goals, and address business strategy to political decision makers
