The Network Development Department at IONITY drives the expansion of our high-power charging network across 24 countries by finding and developing the best locations for our customers. The DACH team is responsible for the German, Austrian and Swiss market. Our team identifies target areas, spots locations and secures them contractually. After obtaining all relevant permits, we organize the construction and installation of the charging station and orchestrate all stakeholders. With the commissioning and go live of the station, we hand over to our operation department who run and maintain the chargers. IONITY is looking for a talented and driven Network Developer (f/m/x) to join our Network Development DACH Team. In this position, you will contribute to drive our network expansion by strategically defining target areas for new charging stations and finding suitable locations. With your convincing appearance, you will negotiate and close long-term contracts with single or multi-location partners and set the foundation for our business success and play an important role in the energy transition within the transport sector.

Your role:

  • Collaborate closely with the team to pinpoint high-impact target areas for network expansion.
  • Hunt for and secure the best locations to power the growth of the IONITY Network.
  • Negotiate win-win contracts for IONITY and our site partners for long-term relationships.
  • Partner with internal teams—Legal, Business Planning, Finance, Management, and others—to ensure every site meets our high standards.
  • Work hands-on with suppliers like design firms and architects to deliver top-notch feasibility studies for each potential site.
  • Shape and adapt our growth strategy to meet the unique demands and opportunities within the DACH market.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years in sales, with a proven track record of achieving results.
  • ‘Sale’/’hunter’ profile capable of negotiating with a wide variety of partners – from the independent owner to the land manager of a major retailer.
  • Mobile person ready to spend 2 out of 5 days on the road to meet our location partners (driver’s license required).
  • Solution-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with diverse stakeholders (commercial, legal, financial, technical, etc.).
  • Fluent in English and German, with English as the primary language of the company.
  • Strong skills in communication and negotiation.
  • Experience in the charging infrastructure or retail sector is desired.
  • Experience in real estate development is a plus.
