The Local is looking to recruit a junior digital marketing manager to help deliver a number of digital marketing tasks, particularly:

  •  Monitoring performance and managing reporting of native advertising campaigns.

  • Assisting with SEO optimisation.

  • Managing and streamlining administration of small, repeat online advertising clients.

  • Assisting with delivery of corporate membership deals.

This will be a dynamic role that will develop over time as The Local's digital offering develops.


You will need:

  • An excellent understanding of online sales funnels.

  • An analytical mind.

  • Great SEO skills.

  • Familiarity with Google Analytics.

  • Email marketing skills.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • A good understanding of social media, particularly Facebook.

  • Excellent English, other languages an advantage, particularly German, French, Spanish, Italian and Scandinavian languages.

You will work closely with a small team of senior digital marketing managers, and will also deliver services to our direct sales team. Reporting lines will depend on experience.


The role is intended for a candidate who is a recent graduate in digital marketing or a related discipline, or someone with 1-2 years experience in a similar role. However, more experienced candidates would also be considered.
