Now we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Junior Institutional Relationship Manager for our Financial Institutions Department. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with institutional clients while conducting thorough due diligence and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. You will be a key point of contact, providing strategic advice, overseeing client portfolios, and ensuring that all financial activities align with legal standards.

Junior Institutional Relationship Manager (m/f/d)

  • Relationship management

– Develop, manage, and grow relationships with institutional clients, act as the main point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring timely and effective communication.

– Build long-term partnerships through trust, reliability, and proactive engagement.

– Stay updated on regulatory changes, informing clients and adjusting strategies as needed and identify client needs and provide tailored investment solutions, products, and services.

– Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and portfolio updates. Work closely with clients to understand their business goals and offer strategic advice aligned with those objectives.

– Conduct detailed due diligence on clients, including financial assessments, risk analysis, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

  • Customer due diligence

– Perform comprehensive client due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) to assess risk levels, validate identities, and verify the source of funds.

– Ensure full compliance with anti-money laundering (AML), know-your-customer (KYC), and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) regulations during client onboarding and throughout the relationship.

– Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather necessary documentation and verify the legitimacy and integrity of clients’ financial operations.

– Monitor client portfolios for irregularities or compliance issues, ensuring risk mitigation strategies are in place.

– Regularly monitor and update client profiles to ensure all required documentation is current and compliant with legal and regulatory standards.

– Collaborate with the compliance and legal teams to escalate any potential risks or red flags identified in client activity or documentation.

– Conduct periodic reviews of clients’ portfolios to ensure ongoing compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

  • Auditing and reporting

– Maintain thorough records of client communications, transactions, and due diligence efforts in compliance with internal and external audit standards.

– Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings and reports required by governing authorities.

– Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring that all required information is accurately documented and accessible.

– Engage in sampling documents preparation, inquiries handling & communication with the internal auditors

– Engage in the finding rectification process and revise result

– Head Office line management reporting, e.g. correspondent banking, compliance

– Other ad hoc reporting, include business date submission, research report etc.

  • Above Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or related majors.
  • Proven experience 1-2 years in institutional relationship management, compliance, due diligence, or risk management within the financial services sector. The working experience in the banking products is preferred
  • Proficiency in written and spoken German and English.
  • Good skill of Windows Office
  • Strong data analysis, relationship management and interpersonal communication skills
