Tasks

As a Lead Hardware Developer, you will play a crucial role in the heart of our development team. You will work both independently and collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to design, develop, and test the hardware aspects of goodbot. This position offers a rich experience in electronics, robotics, mechanical engineering, and life sciences, all while contributing to the advancement of our robotic solutions.

What you will do:

  • Lead the design and development of new hardware features.
  • Ensure the hardware design aligns with product requirements and user needs.
  • Collaborate with the software team to integrate hardware and software seamlessly.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing and debugging of hardware components.
  • Research and implement new and emerging technologies to enhance product capabilities.
  • Develop detailed documentation and guidelines for hardware development processes.
  • Mentor and guide junior hardware engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Embedded Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in hardware development, particularly in robotics or automation.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and hardware design tools.
  • Strong understanding of electronics, microcontrollers, and sensor integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex hardware issues.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Nice to have:
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and 3D printing.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance for biomedical devices.
  • Understanding of embedded systems and firmware development.
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
