LED Technician with Rigging Skills

DARK BAY Virtual Production Studio enables all kinds of filming to be produced under completely new creative parameters and production facilities. Digital backgrounds are already pre-produced as 3D worlds for the shoot and projected onto a LED screen around any physical set.

– Installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair and servicing of the electrotechnical film equipment, in particular the LED technology, the distributors, the cables and the generators and motors.
– Error analysis, troubleshooting in case of malfunctions
– Maintenance, software and content updates
– Weakness analysis & optimisation of complex media installations
– Inspecting and preparing loads that need to be moved
– Setting, aligning, and leveling heavy equipment machinery
– Selecting the appropriate rigging gear
– Preparing rigging equipment including beams, pulleys, clamps, and bolts
– Inspecting rigging before final use
– Monitoring and maintaining rigging equipment
– Maneuvering loads using heavy equipment machinery and by hand
– Ensuring compliance with state and company safety procedures
– Communicating with the rigging and construction team
– Breaking down rigging equipment and conducting post-rigging inspections

– At least 5 years of film, broadcast and set experience with LED walls
– Technical competence in the areas of film and VP
– Highly competent in LED video wall construction, maintenance and processing
– Good understanding of the physical construction of LED tiles and types of LEDs
– Very competent understanding of camera requirements for LED
– Technical understanding of desktop computer systems as an asset
– Understanding of content creation processing
– Several years of rigging experience is essential
– In-depth knowledge of rigging equipment and heavy machinery
– fluent German and English is required
