- Providing operative legal support including coordination of all legal matters relating to the origination, development and operation relating to EEP’s Industrial Generation business as well as to EEP’s new CCUS business in Germany and other European countries
- The role will require an experienced project lawyer capable of drafting and negotiating contracts in a lead role at all parts of the project value chain, from customer facing agreements, finance related documentation, through to logistics and supply chain contracts, all under a diverse range of national and international standard and bespoke contract forms
- Creating new contractual solutions to ensure risk management, commercial viability and bankability along the whole project value chain in contracts with partners, suppliers, and other stakeholders, all in compliance with E.ON’s policies
- Coordinating with all members of E.ON’s Infrastructure Solutions business across Europe in helping to resolve the day-to-day commercial, technical and legal issues
- Coordinating with other members of E.ON’s legal teams as well as other support functions to ensure consistent application of E.ON’s processes
- Mandating, instructing as well as managing external lawyers in accordance with agreed budgets
- German fully qualified lawyer (both state examinations above average) with at least 3 years of experience as project lawyer gained from an international law firm and/or in-house in the energy industry
- Relevant experience advising, drafting and negotiating in common law and civil law jurisdictions
- Strong organisational, analytical and negotiation skills, combined with pragmatism and a strong commercial sense – credible in front of business and customers alike
- The ability to work autonomously as the main project legal support, but work effectively imbedded within inter-disciplinary teams of international professionals
- The ability to manage a varied and demanding workload, with patience and humour is essential
- German and English language skills to negotiation level are essential – with demonstrable experience of drafting and negotiating in German and English
- Candidates should be prepared to undertake frequent travel within Europe
