Our team manages and owns all legal aspects of our entities worldwide. As such, you will be having the exciting opportunity to shape your role within our company and explore various areas within an in-house Legal department. The Legal team at Talon.One is successful through strong collaboration, trust and accountability.
We are operating in a hybrid model and work closely with our stakeholders face-to-face, which makes it crucial for our new Legal Counsel to be based in Berlin.
We are looking for an adaptive commercial and privacy lawyer to join Talon.One as part of our Legal team. This is a generalist role with a particular emphasis on privacy. You’ll collaborate with various departments across the business, handling everything from Sales and Partnerships to Marketing and RnD. Reporting to our Senior Legal Counsel, this position offers a unique opportunity to help shape our in-house Legal function and make a significant impact in supporting Talon.One’s mission.
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, including those with clients, business partners and vendors
- Manage and strengthen our legal privacy program, collaborating with teams across Talon.One to ensure compliance with all applicable privacy and data protection laws
- Own the development and maintenance of internal and external privacy policies, procedures, and guidance
- Serve as a trusted advisor on commercial matters, marketing campaigns, and product development, offering legal guidance and support
- Provide day-to-day legal advice and address ad hoc legal queries from all areas of Talon.One, covering topics from product and regulatory issues to brand protection
- Conduct horizon scanning, monitoring legal developments and interpreting their impact on the business
- Conduct regular legal housekeeping to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements
- Identify, create, and manage legal operations initiatives as we continue to build and expand the Legal function
- Oversee and manage external legal support when required
- You have 2-3 years of post-qualification experience in commercial, privacy, and technology matters, experience in an in-house role and/or start-up environment is a plus
- You can work autonomously while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- You are a fast learner and thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid environment, managing multiple matters simultaneously
- You are qualified to practice as a lawyer in Europe (German experience is a plus)
- You can communicate complex legal advice effectively and provide practical solutions with internal and external stakeholders
- You are eager to up-skill in new areas of law and legal practice
- You have solid English speaking and writing skills, German is a plus
