With a fleet of 287 modern container ships and a Vessel Capacity 2.2 million TEU, as well as a Container Capacity 3.2 million TEU including one of the world’s largest and most modern reefer container fleets, Hapag-Lloyd is one of the world’s leading liner shipping companies. A total of 114 liner services worldwide ensure fast and reliable connections between more than 600 ports across the world. In the Terminal & Infrastructure segment, Hapag-Lloyd has stakes in 20 terminals in Europe, Latin America, the United States, India, and North Africa. The roughly 2.600 employees assigned to the Terminal & Infrastructure segment deal with terminal-related activities and provide complementary logistics services at selected locations.

The Intra Europe Trade is a relevant and dynamic market, with a yearly volume of approximately 8 million TEUs. Considering Strategy 2030, we aim to grow on this Trade by fully utilizing our existing network and complementing it by dedicated services going forward.

We also manage all new Shuttle services in the GEMINI network throughout North and South Europe. This is an important element of our future product offering and will play an important role in our success.

  • Develop pricing guidelines considering market trends, competitors’ behavior, contribution margins, imbalances, and utilization of Ship Systems
  • Conduct coordinated analysis of key performance indicators in order to achieve full vessel utilization combined with profit maximization
  • Contribute to the Trade targets and constant development of the IRT Europe strategy
  • Preparing for tender transactions involves creating customer-specific pricing guidelines. Also, it includes monitoring and reviewing nomination results
  • Conduct revenue management of the special cargo types and steering target achievement
  • Preparation and active participation in Performance Management calls with the Areas and Regions to ensure dialogue is performance driven
  • Optimization of service results by system-based cargo acceptance within the defined operational processes
  • Collaboration with Cargo Control and different Trade Management departments to manage allocations on own and different Ship Systems

  • Experience in shipping, bachelor’s degree (HSBA) or close qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in Marketing, Sales, Trade Management, Operations or Customer Service
  • Strong analytic skills with an organized and efficient approach to work
  • Self-driven, decisive and dependable personality
  • Communicative team player with a “can do” mindset
  • Fluent in English (business proficiency) another language as plus
