Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

    Creation of manuals/guidelines & training programs to respond to Brand positioning & strategy. Manage the development, innovation and management of all Visual Merchanising/In-Store Communication tools ensuring Global consistency in our Global Retail stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Partner with the relevant teams to create clear requirements and align briefs whilst ensuring continued alignment to Brand objectives and positioning:
  • Develop ISC/Visual Merchandising tools for each of adidas’ labels that respond to their target consumer profile.
  • Develop guidelines, training programs and tools for markets to implement the concepts.
  • • Manage external agencies (visual presentation specialists; software agencies, communication agencies etc.).
  • • Improve processes:
  • Monitor the Retail industry (brick and mortar and digital) for best practices that can be adapted for adidas.
  • Drive for industry leading innovations in ISC/VM at both the consumer level and the implementation practices. Build business cases for investment direction with guidance on commercial or Brand lifting experiences
  • • Manage Resources:
  • Manage project budgets (as assigned).
  • • Coordinate between department tactics and operational objectives.
  • • Work independently and collaboratively.
  • • Additional assignments or special projects as assigned or agreed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • • Fully qualified and experienced in retail In-Store Communication/Visual Merchandising, combining theoretical with practical experience.
  • • Strong organisation skills and flexibility.
  • • Specialist in technical skills.
  • • Proven track record in project management.
  • • English fluent: verbal, written & spoken. Another European language is an advantage.
  • • IT: Microsoft Office advanced. Sketch Up and Adobe suite beneficial.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • • Business or Marketing Degree.
  • • 4+ years’ experience in Retail Instore Communication/Visual Merchandising.
  • 1+ years working with global markets, or a key adidas market
