We are Plan4Better, a Munich-based startup for planning software and data-driven consulting. With our WebGIS platform GOAT, we enable the visualization and analysis of spatial data, supporting clients from the public sector and consulting firms in shaping sustainable solutions for the environment, cities, and transportation. In addition, we offer consulting services and promote an open, innovative company culture.

As a Map Content Creator at Plan4Better, you will be responsible for creating engaging content that demonstrates the value of our tool GOAT to a global audience. We are looking for high-performing, motivated individuals with experience in creating impactful content that will help us showcase the power and versatility of GOAT through high-quality texts, videos, visuals, and storytelling. You will be part of a passionate and motivated team of GIS analysts, database experts, frontend developers, and data scientists who are solving various challenges related to the geospatial domain and urban/transport planning.

  • Write engaging blog posts, tutorials, and case studies that highlight the power of GOAT in geospatial data analysis and cartography.
  • Design high-quality artwork, graphics, and maps using GOAT and other GIS software.
  • Master the GOAT platform to craft accurate, detailed, and visually compelling maps for a variety of use cases.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create shareable content for social media, newsletters, and other channels.
  • Stay up to date on trends in cartography, GIS, and data visualization to ensure our content remains innovative and relevant.
  • Engage on team meetings and collaborate with team members
  • Be creative and make suggestions for improvements
  • Have time to learn new technologies and methods

  • Have a passion for cartography!
  • Proficiency in geospatial tools, (such as ArcGIS, QGIS, Mapbox, Carto or other GIS mapping platforms)
  • Strong writing skills, with an ability to convey technical concepts in an engaging manner;
  • Experience with graphic design tools like Adobe Illustrator, Figma or Canva.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating maps, visual content, or writing about geospatial topics.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with teams like marketing, design, and product.
  • A proactive, self-starter attitude with a passion for learning and teaching others.
