Description:

In the rapidly evolving automotive landscape, the shift towards electric and autonomous vehicles, coupled with the increasing complexity of electronics, underscores the need for innovative testing methodologies. Distributed testing, as a concept, offers a scalable solution by allowing for the remote, simultaneous testing of physical and virtual systems across various locations, enhancing efficiency, and reducing development costs.

Join our pioneering project and be involved in the following tasks:

  • Reviewing cutting-edge technology and research to identify academic gaps and opportunities for innovation
  • Exploring the advantages and disadvantages of synchronous and asynchronous communication paradigms in distributed systems and automotive networking
  • Analyzing and comparing the performance of various architectures across different test scenarios
  • Developing and validating new testing frameworks with both simulations and hardware prototypes

The final thesis topic shall be established in consultation with our team, the academic supervisor, and the candidate, to ensure alignment with the academic aspirations and objectives of the project.

  • Advanced studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Automotive Software Engineering or a related discipline with strong IT knowhow
  • Solid academic record with notable university entrance qualifications
  • Prior experience in programming and knowledge of automotive networks will be considered beneficial
  • Demonstrated commitment with the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team as well as autonomously
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English at a working level; proficiency in German is advantageous
