This hire will report to the Managing Director of Schrödinger GmbH. The position can be filled both full-time (40 hours per week) or part-time, with a minimum of 20 hours per week.
We’re seeking a
Payroll Associate (m/w/d)
to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods.

- Coordinate monthly payroll for a workforce of 80+ people located in Germany, France, Netherlands, and Ireland with external payroll solution providers
- Manage payroll-related on- and off-boarding
- Collaborate with our tax consultant and accounting company to ensure correct and on-time execution of payroll payments and reporting requirements
- Provide first level support of all payroll related questions for employees of applicable countries
- Collaborate closely with our global finance, accounting, and HR departments on all topics regarding global payroll (salary adjustments, bonus payments, reporting etc.)
- Assist with tasks overlapping with payroll (benefits, social security, company pension etc.)
- Assist team with preparing and checking travel expense reports based on internal policies and external accounting accuracy
- Fluency in German and excellent command of English
- Vocational training in a payroll- or accounting-related field or a business degree
- Experience with payroll processing according to German regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
