Your Tasks:
Work and own qualification (doctorate) within a third-party funded project “Reducing heat stress in grazing cattle and increasing resilience through agroforestry”. In a Germany-wide practical research network for organic farming, you will investigate the interrelationships between microclimate, animal behavior, trees and grassland on
systems.
Your Qualifications:
– Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in veterinary medicine, animal science, biology or related biosciences
– Basic knowledge of animal behavior, animal physiology, animal nutrition and organic farming
– High motivation to work with cattle and sensor technologies (GPS, climate, video) on different pasture sites
– Knowledge in the areas of experimental design and statistical data analysis
– Good written and spoken German and English language skills
