Are you interested to explore the challenges of MEMS inertial sensors? Miniaturization stands in opposition to the demands for enhanced functionality and robustness. This PhD project aims to explore and redefine the boundaries within these conflicting requirements.

  • Innovate and Create: As part of your PhD research, you will engage in concept evaluation, modeling, simulation, design, and characterization within the realm of MEMS inertial sensors, with the goal of pioneering innovative concepts
  • Holistic Approach: Your research will allow you to delve into ambitious focus areas, which will be tailored to your interests and academic goals
  • Collaborative Research Experience: This position involves collaboration and communication with various departments, such as research and pre-development, to foster a multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving
  • Networked Communication: You will be part of a team of experts in inertial systems, including MEMS, ASIC, packaging, testing, and software/algorithms

  • Personality: Creative, with high level of enthusiasm, thriving in international and interdisciplinary teams
  • Working Practice: Independent and focused working style, capable of conducting rigorous research
  • Experience and Knowledge: Background and strong interest in fields such as experimental testing, mechanics, electronics, as well as simulation and modeling technologies (e.g., modeling of micromechanical devices and/or system/circuit design)
  • Languages: Proficiency in English
  • Education: M.Sc./Dipl. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Microsystems Engineering, or a related field, with excellent academic records
