Description

IHP is an institute of the Leibniz Association and conducts research and development of silicon-based systems and ultra-high-frequency circuits and technologies including new materials. It develops innovative solutions for application areas such as wireless and broadband communication, security, medical technology, industry 4.0, automotive industry, and aerospace. IHP employs approximately 350 people. It operates a pilot line for technological developments and the preparation of high-speed circuits with 0.13/0.25 μm-SiGe-BiCMOS technologies, located in a 1500 m² cleanroom that meets the highest industrial nanotechnology requirements.

An international team of 9 scientists, PhD students and engineers is looking forward to you. Flat hierarchies and mutual support are important to us. We see diversity of perspectives as a great advantage for our team. We strive for a balanced gender mix in our team.

Ihr Aufgabengebiet:

As a member of the research group Heterogeneous Integration of Devices & Technologies within the department Technology you will contribute to research into the field of high frequency packaging and heterogeneous integration for mm-wave and THz applications. Your tasks will include the development of technologies and process modules for high frequency wafer-level packaging technologies in combination with mm-wave antennas and mm-wave circuits.

Your PostDoc/Research Associate or PhD project:

You will develop and evaluate advanced wafer-level packaging components and technologies for mm-wave and sub-THz applications. In addition, it is intended to develop concepts and components for multifunctional high frequencypackaging platforms including Fan-Out Wafer-level Packaging (FOWLP) and 3D heterogeneous integration.Your work is suitable both for a research associate or a PhD project or – when you already are a doctoral graduate -for the further profiling in the postdoc phase.
