Power Systems Senior Design Engineer (m/w(d)

  • Technical project manager / system integrator for MV/HV projects
  • Prepare power supply concepts of steel plants and rolling mills:
    • Develop Single line diagrams
    • Sizing of distribution transformers
    • Selection of MV and HV switchgears and cables
    • Develop substation SCADA
    • Develop layout of MV and HV distribution substations
    • Design substation secondary circuits (basic and detail engineering)
    • Relay settings and coordination calculations
  • Power systems harmonics analysis, short circuit and load flow analysis
  • Select harmonic filters and power factor compensation
  • Coordination of the developed concept with customers
  • Support in the handling of pre-projects, in sales activities and in day-to-day business

  • You have a degree in the field of high and medium voltage distribution systems with a focus on the design of MV/HV substations
  • You have at least 7 years of professional experience in the field of MV/HV substations design
  • You have experience in design tools (ETAP, SINCAL, MATLAB SIMULINK) or similar
  • Good written and spoken German and English skills are a matter of course for you
  • Experience on sizing of SVC and STATCOM systems highly appreciated
  • Willingness to learn, an independent, structured way of working, reliability, high quality awareness and the ability to work in a team round off your profile
