Role Overview:
The Equinix Digital Services Partnerships and Ecosystem Strategy team is seeking an accomplished, forward-thinking Principal Solution Engineer to enable, support and grow our strategic technology and route to market partners. In this role, you will create and build, from scratch, demos, POCs, validated solution blueprints, live environments to drive adoption of the Equinix digital services portfolio with and through partners. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our solutions strategy, propelling product innovation, and delivering unmatched
networking, operating systems.
This is an individual contributor role reporting to the VP of Partnerships Ecosystem Strategy Services.
Responsibilities:
Create solution blueprints and reference architectures to enable partners to build joint solutions on top of our products.
Develop technical enablement content including videos, webinars, podcasts, presentations, blogs, and hands-on labs to help guide and explain solutions to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Develop, code and evangelize compelling proofs of concept and demos (including apps and scripts) that showcase our joint solutions.
Build certification training programs and help partners achieve technical competency in selling and supporting our solutions.
Collaborate with core product management and engineering teams to build APIs, tools, and resources to technically enable our partner ecosystem.
Track and report on partner certification attainment, solution development progress
to our valued customers.
The ideal candidate has a DevOps mindset, is curious, loves learning new tech and is comfortable digging in, hands-on, including coding, with everything from APIs, hypervisors
blockers.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
10+ years of experience in solution engineering; creating solution blueprints and reference architectures to enable partners to build joint solutions.
Strong hands-on experience with enterprise-level, cloud infrastructure services, and Edge Infrastructure, especially compute and storage environments (VMware, Nutanix, Pure, Netapp, etc.) and solutions.
Strong hands-on experience with enterprise-level, Network as a Service (NaaS), Multi-cloud networking (L4-L7), and Network Security solutions.
Current or recent hands-on experience with programming, scripting and IaC tools (Python, Shell Scripting, and Terraform etc.)
Current or recent experience developing POCs, demos, websites and apps, and technical enablement content, including videos, webinars, podcasts, presentations, demos, blogs, and hands-on labs to educate partner sales teams on our solutions.
Create and maintain the official live demo environments and video library of Equinix and partner solutions portfolio.
An excellent understanding of developer workflows, CI/CD pipelines, API integrations, and IDE/GitHub/GitLab integrations.
Understanding of developer-centric cloud computing environments (AWS, GCP
Azure, etc.)

Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or tra aining. This position may be offered in other locations.
