Job Overview: As a Procurement Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing procurement planning and strategy, ensuring alignment with global procurement strategy and policy. You will also provide support for inbound and outbound logistics, assist in establishing new business logistics networks, and manage vendor sourcing and procurement systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Planning and Strategy:
- Manage and align procurement processes with the global procurement strategy and policy.
- Select and manage credit rating services, screen and monitor supplier risks.
- Conduct market research and analyze information on the European logistics market.
New Business Support:
- Assist with logistics and forwarding procurement tenders.
- Support the establishment of new business logistics networks.
- Search for and analyze information on new truckers and forwarders.
GPMS Management:
- Develop, administer, and maintain the GPMS system.
- Structure and manage vendor sourcing groups.
- Support vendor management and evaluation processes.
- Manage procurement status and progress for regional subsidiaries.
- Review and manage procurement data input/output.
- Train and encourage employees and suppliers to use the system.
Support and Management:
- Handle procurement issues and manage procurement risks.
- Search for and analyze information on new truckers and forwarders.
- University degree in business administration, engineering, or logistics
- At least 2 years in the logistics sector, preferably in the automotive industry
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong strategic and logical thinking skills
- Networking and alliance-building expertise
- Experience in project management and leadership of groups
- In-depth knowledge of the logistics market and procurement processes
- Excellent communication and coordination know-how in a multicultural environment
- Strong spoken and written English skills (proficiency in Korean is a plus).
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Willingness to travel across Europe for business
