About ERIG:
ERIG (European Research Institute for Gas and Energy Innovation) is currently looking to hire an experienced project manager for its office in Bonn, Germany, starting immediately. You will work in an international European environment with highly innovative gas and energy topics and motivated people. You will be part of the European R&D scene and interact with relevant developments in the EU Brussels energy and gas community. You will work closely with the Secretary General on technical communication and dissemination in European-funded research and development projects. You will also interact closely with the ERIG scientific and professional community on internal projects and strategic agenda-setting concerns.

  • Manage ERIG’s obligations in ongoing EU-funded projects concerning the role of gas in the energy transition and hydrogen.
  • Facilitate new publicly funded European projects on these topics.
  • Collaborate with our Scientific Advisory Board and Board of Directors on the further development of ERIG’s strategic approach.
  • Represent ERIG and associated projects at international and European conferences, events, and meetings, and interact with our country members while liaising closely with the Secretary General.
  • Aggregate and manage results and knowledge from the projects and the community into comprehensible facts and figures to serve all channels of communication and dissemination.
  • Organize European R&D events and conferences together with the ERIG office team, targeting the energy and gas industry, research, and EU community.

  • You have completed higher education at a minimum of a master’s degree level and ideally have a connection to energy and gas concerns.
  • You have experience with managing publicly funded EU projects, both in preparation and execution.
  • You feel at home in an international European environment and are fluent in English and proficient in German. Further European language skills are advantageous.
  • You have experience in communication and dissemination of technical projects and are used to working with social media and other channels of communication.
  • You are passionate about making complicated technical R&D topics accessible and understandable, enjoy interacting with energy professionals, and are not afraid to be at the center of attention. You aspire to become a renowned point of competence on gas in the energy transition.
