We are looking for a Project Procurement & Sourcing Manager (f/m/d) based in HQs in Heidelberg, reporting direct line to Global Team Leader Project Sourcing ,Group Procurement Department.

In this role you are the core team member of the MPT (Multidisciplinary Procurement Team) and lead the Project Procurement Team within a given project, You are fully responsible for the overall fulfilment of the sourcing targets and commitments in multiple projects, including time, cost and quality.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

  • You will lead procurement activities in international projects working alongside multiple Projects MPTs for Carbon Capture and Cement Projects

  • Following Group Procurement and Project Guidelines you will have commercial responsibility for tender activities including predevelopment, design engineering, pre-FEED, FEED and contracting

  • Co-own the Project Procurement Plan and support bundling activities in the project

  • Coordinate sourcing aspects with stakeholders, including Tender sourcing Strategy and Resource Allocation Plan

  • Manage all project-related sourcing documents including Vendor Lists, Purchasing Conditions, Contracts (FIDIC & Master Contracts), and Purchase Orders.

  • Draft EPC contracts aligned with the Group’s interests

  • Coordinate initiatives to increase procurement in Low Cost Countries (LCC)

  • Manage Expediters, Contract Managers, Time Schedulers, and Logistic Managers, the Project Procurement Manager oversees a broader spectrum of responsibilities within the project team

  • Ensure the quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of materials and services for projects

  • Facilitate smooth handover of sourcing activities from tender to execution to PAC/FAC stages

  • Establish procurement schedules and coordinate onshore, offshore, and on-site procurement activities

  • Regularly review suppliers’ fulfilment of contractual requirements regarding customs and duties

  • Prepare monthly Procurement Progress Reports and report progress to Procurement management and the project

  • Ensure timely release of invoices and manage securities and bonds from suppliers

  • Support compliance with Quality and EHS rules in sourcing activities

YOUR PROFILE

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, and supply chain & project management, preferably within the cement or oil and gas business

  • Very strong knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and regulation

  • Demonstrated ability to manage procurement activities in the context of large-scale plant projects

  • Good understanding of the contractual aspects of an EPC contract

  • Experience in project management

  • Proven track record of managing supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Technical Studies

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective communication and negotiation with various stakeholders

  • Fluent in English, written and spoken (any other language an advantage)

  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams, coaching, and stakeholder management
