The Real Estate Manager (Services) (m/f/d) oversees the day-to-day operations and maintenance of assigned facilities and services, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. This person coordinates and oversees vendors and contractors, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to budget and schedule. The Real Estate Manager (Services) conducts regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards and code compliance issues taking appropriate corrective action.

The position is located in Hamburg.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance tenant satisfaction and retention, including responding to tenant inquiries and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage services budgets, track expenses, and prepare financial reports for senior management, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to property management, leasing, and tenant relations.
  • Stay current on market trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in property management, and recommend innovations and improvements as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records of facility maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and work orders using facility management software or other tools.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to facility maintenance staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports and presentations for executive management.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in facility management, and recommend innovations and improvements as appropriate.

Your profile

  • A bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience and minimum three years of experience in facility management or related field, with demonstrated expertise in building operations and maintenance (cleaning, safety, catering etc.).
  • You have a proven track record of managing facility maintenance projects, budgets and vendor relationships.
  • You are known for your excellent and strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a focus on finding practical and cost-effective solutions to complex facility management challenges.
  • Your German language skills are at native speaker level.
