The objective of quality management is to deliver mature products to our customers. This includes ensuring the Mercedes standard of quality at the time of delivery as well as high reliability and durability both in the warranty and goodwill period and for long-term quality.

To achieve the planned maturity level and product reliability by market entry, risk management is an important tool. This includes methods for identifying risks as well as preventive and reactive methods for risk analysis and test coverage.

Our team consists of 12 highly motivated and friendly colleagues who are looking forward to your support.

For drive systems, we perform the technical risk classification in order to identify product and process risks in new product projects and facelifts. We see the drive train as a system and consider it both in terms of hardware and software. With our reliability analyses, we accompany the development process for the drive projects, both electrical and conventional, and forecast the achievement of the quality targets in the project. This includes using data science methods for testing and customer driving behavior, sometimes even with the design of new use cases.

For us, it is important to communicate with each other on equal level, directly, and in regular face-to-face meetings. It is also important to us that we treat each other constructively and honestly. We use mobile working regularly.

With us, you take responsibility for your drive projects and are so closely involved in the development process where you independently present your results in committees. And as dynamically as our products change, as regularly we develop our methods together.

You are responsible for:

  • Performance of technical risk classification in new product projects and facelifts for drive projects
  • Preparing reliability analyses and representing them in your projects in order to assess the maturity level in the development process
  • Design of data-based use cases for customer usage behavior in the field and for test validation
  • Further development and digitalization of our methids and tools in the team and with our partners in QM, RD and IT

Ideally, you bring the following skills and experience:

  • University degree in engineering/natural sciences, mathematics or data science
  • Professional experience in quality management, development or production environment and good basic knowledge of risk management methods, reliability and statistics
  • Good technical understanding and Data science and programming skills (Python, R, SQL)
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and proficient in German and English
  • Social skills and teamwork skills, strategic, analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Presentation and negotiation skills, creativity
