JOIN THE TEAM
We are a leading global research organization with over 3000 employees working in the field of material and analytical science, chemical synthesis, process development, bioscience, catalysis and digitalization. With our creative and diverse teams as well as our cutting-edge research, we help to make our customers more successful and drive the sustainability transformation.
You are enthusiastic about creating value for BASF in a dynamic, very experienced team of engineers with innovative system solutions in the field of measurement technology. You are open to various technical challenges and passionate to learn about and make use of cutting-edge science for superior sensor technology.
- As Research Engineer in the team “Particle Characterization and Image Analysis” you will develop and hands-on implement tailor-made sensor systems for laboratories, pilot-, and production plants. With your development projects you will focus on the on-line characterization of disperse systems (such as suspensions, emulsions, powders, sprays).
- Your range of tasks includes mechanical, electrical, and optical design as well as start-up and operational support of sensor systems.
- Furthermore, you will independently work on complex projects and sub-projects. To do this, you propose technical solutions, calculate costs, create schedules, and implement them. In addition, you will provide technical guidance to the employees assigned to the project.
- You will regularly communicate about your work across teams of research, engineering, and plant operations within BASF globally. You are eager to build up a network across units from research and development, technology, production as well as relevant external partners such as suppliers, universities, and expert committees.
- Finally, you will document your results and contribute to securing intellectual property.
