MENCK are looking to hire a Sales Manager on a full time, permanent basis, based at their facility in Kaltenkirchen, Germany. Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Sales Manager will lead and coordinate the contract negotiations for rental / equipment service contracts to clients within the offshore installation service arena.

  • Leading and coordinating the contract negotiations for rental / equipment service contracts to clients within the offshore installation service arena.
  • Business oriented and customer centric individual driving the individual customer opportunity pipeline for rental service and equipment sales contracts in the assigned market sector.
  • Building relationships with customers and influencers (sponsor) in the customer organization, mapping such in CRM.
  • Upkeep of the opportunity pipeline ensure transparent opportunity tracking.
  • Driving sales activities through KPI driven asset performance (i.e., dashboard supported / digital) supported by customer & stakeholder meetings, proposal writing, contracting and post project / close-out reviews.
  • Supporting account finance to ensure transparent turnover, profitability and accounts receivable reporting ensuring best long term financial results.
  • Managing the opportunity pipeline of market sector opportunities, i.e., civil, marine, oil and gas, or renewables with oversight and view on cross-product service offerings.
  • Leading the sales cycle including integrated deal orientation, project development management, contract negotiation and closing a targeted opportunities to deliver agreed budget for the assigned market sector, through CRM and tools available.
  • Managing techno-economic analysis of opportunities, identifying commercial and operational risks, optimizing technical and commercial variables, and articulating the project applicable USP to present competitive offerings to clients.
  • Maintain accurate data sets for the overseen opportunities in company CRM to enable current reporting status for all stakeholders within brand, segment, and group organisation.
  • Lead and direct the quote generation and project tender development for the projects overseen through engagement with the Sales Operations team and Contract Management team to ensure availability and submittal of accurate proposals to clients.

  • Bachelor / Master degree in relevant profession, i.e., civil, mechanical, or comparable engineering, alternatively business administration with strong technical understanding, and proven track record of comparable responsibility and position.
  • Ability to manage various tasks and opportunities across an integrated team in parallel.
  • Excellent communication skills – both internal and external facing.
  • Understanding of the offshore energy markets with ability and drive to maintain market intelligence and interpret market directions.
  • Commercial understanding for financial key drivers, i.e., revenue, profitability, accounts receivable, investment return and cash-flow dynamics.
  • Team player to support or supplement, equally lead, and champion opportunities.
  • Available for travel to client offices up to 50% of time.
  • Passion to contribute to energy transition initiatives through driving sustainable solutions for product portfolio.
  • Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken.
  • Advanced competency with MS Suite products.
