Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Scientist in the Genotyping Department you will be responsible to support and streamline laboratory processes of our genetic testing services.
• Supervision and mentoring of supervisor medical technologists and medical technologists within the department and contribute to the core team processes and initiatives
• Technical evaluation of diagnostic tests in the department, including Sanger, MLPA, Chromosomal Microarray, qPCR and Fragment length
• Quality Management in the Genotyping department and ensuring the compliance of SOPs/WIs related to operations and methodologies
• Consulting and problem solving within Genotyping department in accordance to policies and established procedures
• Drive collaboration across all functions of Genotyping and challenge team members to be broad and objective in their executions of tasks
• MSc or PhD in Medicine or Biology with a focus on genetic testing
• In-depth knowledge of genetic techniques (Sanger sequencing, MLPA, Chromosomal Microarray), knowledge in next-generation sequencing (NGS) is a plus
• Familiar with laboratory requirements according to ISO15189
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong communication skills
