At Otto Group data.works, we are passionate about innovation and pushing technological boundaries. Our team, consisting of around 40 tech enthusiasts, develops data and AI products for various Otto Group companies.

Our broad portfolio includes the provision of data & machine learning solutions, the design and implementation of cloud-native data platforms and support in tech consulting projects.

Tech stack:

  • You design, develop and operate high-performance data architectures and data-driven services from data integration to reporting.
  • You develop architecture concepts, target images and prototypes in exciting tech consulting projects.
  • You evaluate new technologies, tools and frameworks and create well-founded decision templates.
  • You represent your technical expertise as an expert in projects and convince internal stakeholders.

Must-have:

  • Ability to present complex technical issues in a target group-oriented way
  • Sound knowledge of software development with Java or Python
  • Sound experience with SQL as well as a confident handling of relational database systems such as BigQuery, PostgreSQL or MySQL
  • Experience with various data architectures (Datalake, Lakehouse, Data Mesh) and data modeling
  • Experience in the development of scalable cloud solutions based on GCP or AWS
  • An agile mindset and the motivation to continuously develop yourself, the team and our products
  • Your language level: German C1 (competent use of language) and English C1 (competent use of language)

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with DevOps technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
