  • Follow the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) with a focus on data-driven systems.
  • Analyze system flows, data usage, and end-to-end data processing workflows.
  • Identify data-related problem areas, optimize performance, and resolve pipeline issues.
  • Lead and contribute to multiple Scrum teams, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
  • Enforce clean, secure, and scalable data engineering best practices.
  • Design and implement robust data architectures for internal products and external data interfaces.
  • Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to extract, transform, and load healthcare data from diverse sources.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance through effective data governance and management practices.
  • Collaborate closely with data analysts and stakeholders to deliver KPI dashboards and custom reports, leveraging BI tools.
  • Maintain and continuously improve data infrastructure to support performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement new tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance data workflows and platform capabilities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or a closely related backend/data-focused role.
  • Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  • Excellent proficiency in Python for data processing and pipeline development.
  • Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Proven experience building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines, preferably in the healthcare domain.
  • Hands-on experience with data processing and orchestration frameworks such as Apache Spark, Airflow, or similar tools.
  • Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs for data integration.
  • Solid understanding of Git-based workflows and version control.
  • Experience with Docker and containerized data applications.
  • Strong knowledge of clean, secure, and maintainable coding practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent documentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
