As Enterprise Architect, you provide strategic architectural leadership to drive the digital transformation of the Klöckner & Co Group. You will be responsible for shaping and standardizing the IT architecture across the Group, with a focus on enhancing system interoperability, scalability, and security. This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise to a variety of transformative projects, collaborating with global stakeholders to ensure sustainable and agile solutions.
Your Role
Enterprise Architecture Function:
- Actively participate in IT governance and contribute to the development of the IT strategy, procedures, and processes
- Scope incoming demands (major projects, minor changes) in collaboration with IT colleagues and senior business stakeholders
- Reorganize architecture information while introducing and maintaining LeanIX as the global architecture repository
Strategic and Tactical Development of the IT landscape:
- Collaborate with IT department heads to develop the IT application landscape, formulate technology visions, roadmaps, and work packages based on the business strategy
- Establish and manage the process of application rationalization for internal solutions and M&A activities, including coordination and tracking of rationalization efforts
- Act as the central contact for enterprise and solution architectural questions and provide project guidance
- Deliver architecture analysis and reports to various stakeholders, including senior management, and support their implementation
- Support the evaluation and selection of vendor(s) and manage vendor relationships strategically to ensure that third-party solutions not only meet technical standards, but also contribute to the organization’s goals for innovation and cost-effectiveness
Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A):
- Take over responsibility in M&A projects (acquisitions and divestitures), identify architectural baselines, understand business visions, develop architectural scenarios, create technology roadmaps and drive decisions with stakeholders
Leadership Role:
- Serve as an active member of the leadership team within the IT application department
- University degree in IT, informatics, economics or comparable degree
- At least five years of experience in the field of enterprise architecture
- Certifications in e.g., TOGAF are a plus
- Familiarity with the architecture around ERP systems, preferably SAP and others
- Experience in SAP LeanIX is an advantage
- Experience in conducting workshops and training sessions as well as working with traditional and agile project management methods
- Excellent communication skills, proven leadership and ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- Ability to balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
