We are seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the position:

(Senior) Fixed Asset Accounting Specialist (m/f/x) European Shared Services

  • Coordinate, process and assess all activities related to fixed assets on group and affiliate level, especially related to IFRS 9, IFRS 16 and IAS 40
  • Perform and coordinate the monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities including reporting in accordance with IFRS, local commercial law and tax law with a focus on fixed assets
  • Be responsible for and operationally support the end-to-end investment process (planning, budget, forecast) across the complete fixed asset lifecycle for all fixed assets in close cooperation with all relevant functional areas across the EU region
  • Prepare relevant reporting packages and reporting analyses
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the EU business functions, local Finance Directors and local Finance and business staff
  • Be the functional contact person for tax auditors, tax advisors and auditors for relevant topics
  • Oversee and proactively adapt policies and procedures related to fixed assets
  • Participate in (sub-)projects or lead sub-projects to optimize the Accounting activities and the development of the European Finance Shared Services

  • Successfully completed studies in Business Administration or a successfully completed Finance-related professional education/ certification (e.g. international balance sheet accountant, IFRS /Fixed Asset Accounting specialist)
  • 5-7 years of experience in general ledger Accounting and in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements with a focus on Fixed Asset Accounting or Fixed Asset Management
  • Experience in financial audit and/or experience in Finance-, Accounting-, or tax-related advisory is an advantage
  • Experience in project work in the field of Finance and Accounting, ideally in the environment of global business services, shared services or in transformation contexts is an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS, especially of asset-related reporting standards
  • Very good knowledge of SAP R/3, SAP ECC or S/4 HANA and MS-Office, especially in Finance (FI) and Fixed Asset Accounting (AA) modules
  • Business fluent English and German language skills
  • Very good communication skills; reliable and proactive way of working
  • Very high customer orientation and ability to work in teams and take over responsibility
  • Ability to constructively deal with conflicts and affinity to work in an international, cross-functional and dynamic environment
