The department ensures that elite athlete insights drive world-class product creation, while also providing custom solutions for medical or anatomical needs. Focused on delivering the right product, at the right time, to the right athletes, ATHLETE SERVICING ensures the Three Stripes are proudly represented on the world’s top courts, pitches, and tracks.

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION

Lead, manage, and innovate the ATHLETE SERVICING global labs, event units, and elite athlete assessment. Ensure the acquisition, storage, analysis, and visualization of all gathered athlete data and integrate this data into the product creation and customization process to enhance adidas products and support athletes’ performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT

  • Global Labs Management: Oversee the operation and strategic use of all global ATHLETE SERVICING labs, ensuring they are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and processes.
  • Event Units Coordination: Guide and manage ATHLETE SERVICING event units to ensure seamless execution and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Elite Athlete Assessment: Lead the assessment blueprint of elite athletes, ensuring data-driven insights for product customization and performance enhancement.
  • Audit Leadership: Conduct and lead audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement within ATHLETE SERVICING operations.

DATA ANALYTICS & ENGINEERING

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Manage data analytics and engineering efforts to provide actionable insights for product activation and servicing of elite athlete.
  • Innovation in Data Processing: Collaborate with internal and external partners to integrate data analytics into the product creation process, enhancing customization and performance.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION

  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with ATHLETE SERVICING Managers and Operations and other relevant functions to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • External Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with technology providers, university partners, and similar to stay on the edge of assessment and data relevance

REPORTING & COMMUNICATION

  • Informed Reporting: Prepare and present data-driven reports and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Document and share best practices and insights gained from athlete assessments and lab operations.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

  • Internal: Global ATHLETE SERVICING Team (Managers and Operations team), Sports Marketing, Athlete Performance team, Event Teams.
  • External: Technology Partners, University Partners, External Vendors

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of sports science related assessment and data analysis methods, processes, and technologies.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead project teams and manage projects effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • IT Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS office, technical SW and other relevant software.
  • Language Skills: English; basic knowledge of German is a plus.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Education: Degree in Sports Science, Sports Technology, Sports Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in athlete assessment, data analytics, and technical operations
  • Experience in working with high level athletes of advantage
